Aguirre: Playing against Real Madrid is like visiting the dentist

Mallorca coach Javier Aguirre confirmed that his team’s chances of battling Real Madrid in a match against the two teams on Sunday at the Santiago Bernabeu in “La Liga” are present.

He said that his players must “present a serious and correct match and not give the ball to the opponent,” with the need to show “boldness and courage.”

“We have a little to lose and a little to gain, it’s a game for fun, like when you go to the dentist,” the coach said sarcastically.

Real Mallorca, who is in tenth place with five points, will play without losing any game away from home so far since the start of the season.

Aguirre considered that facing Real Madrid at home and coming out victorious is “very difficult”.

He added, “I had the opportunity to visit the Bernabeu with many teams. I won, lost and drawn. We will face an indomitable version of Real Madrid, who are the European champions, and they have the best player and the best coach, according to (FIFA).”

He continued, “Everything there is great with a full stadium, we will stick to what we have and the morale of the team, but we know that this is Real Madrid.”
