Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United striker, received a warning from the English police, against the background of smashing a child’s phone, following the defeat by Everton last season.
Ronaldo slapped Jacob Harding’s hand when he left Goodison Park after his team lost to Everton last season, but later apologized to the 14-year-old who suffers from autism.
The English newspaper “Mirror” reported that Merseyside police had interviewed the Portuguese star earlier this month, regarding the alleged assault and criminal harm against a young child.
Merseyside Police said in a statement: “We can confirm that a 37-year-old man voluntarily attended and was interviewed in relation to an allegation of assault and criminal damages. It was treated as a conditional caution, it’s over now.”
The newspaper added that Ronaldo agreed to pay compensation to the young student.
In another context, the Portuguese star, Cristiano Ronaldo, the Manchester United striker, commented on the rumors circulating in the various media about his future in the English club, noting that most of them are lies.
Ronaldo responded to a post through his personal account on the “Instagram” website, saying: “They will know the truth when he gives a press interview in a few weeks.”
He added: “The media only tells lies, I have a notebook and in the past few months out of the 100 stories that were about me, there were only 5 real news, imagine how it goes! Only 5 results, imagine how it goes.”
